Here are some photos from our February, 2010 South America South Mission Presidents Conference, in Buenos Aires.
The bottom photo is of us with all of the South America South Area Presidency and their wives President and Sister Bowen, President and Sister Zivic, and President and Sister Aidukaitus, and all of the South America South Mission Presidents and their wives.
The top photo is our "Class" of Mission Presidents and their wives, the Lindahls, the Villabas, the Northcutts, and the Del Castillos. We started our Mission at the same time these couples did.
The middle photo was taken by Sister Lindahl the Mendoza Argentina Mission President's wife, from the bus that was taking our whole group to dinner, amidst a flooding rain storm in Buenos Aires.
It's a tribute to the "backbone" of Mission Presidents and their wives that when we looked out the bus window and saw this sight, there was no screaming or running for the door of the bus and no comments that maybe we should turn back. There was only stoic calm.
I got the feeling that everyone was thinking, "We can triumph over this with resilience, faith and fortitude, just like we do with all the other challenges that come our way!"
We did finally arrive at the Kansas Restaurant, where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner together. When we emerged from the restaurant after dinner, the flood had disappeared!
Three cheers for resilience, faith and fortitude!
