At the baptism at Las Catonas Chapel last Saturday, we met twin girls, Megan and Marilee, who are daughters of members of the Church, and seven years old, the same age as our two oldest grandaughters, Hannah and Chloe. Megan and Marilee will be 8 years old on October 28th of this year. As you can see by the way they were trying to play the piano, they were full of life and activity, like Hannah & Chloe are.
The next day at lunch, the Golinowski's youngest daughter,(See the entry above about the Goliowski Family) Priscilla, reminded me so much of our grandaughter Tess. She's pictured here with her mom, me, and her oldest sister, Camilla (11 yrs). I showed Priscilla's Mom a photo of Tess and told her that Tess and Priscilla probably knew each other before they came to this world. Priscilla will be 3 years old in October, 2008, one month beforeTess turns 3.
Priscilla seemed to rule the family and get all the attention by acting so very cute, just like Tess does. She even looked like Tess, but it threw me a little when she looked at me and "jabbered" away in spanish, instead of english!
The other kids in the family would tease Priscilla and tell her in spanish that she was a "baby" (bebe), and she would get mad at them and say, "No, Nena" ( the Argentenian way of saying little girl)!
I guess I won Priscilla over by hugging her alot, or maybe she was confused that the whole family called me "Hermana (Sister) Benton", because, before we left, she was calling me "Tia" (Auntie). The other kids in the family found that to be very funny!
Anyway, I love the "tender mercies" here that remind me of my beloved grandchildren.

What a great post - our kids pray for you and Evrett each night (unprompted!). I'm really glad that we get to talk so often - we are loving the videocalls! We'll have to get you a progress update on the front yard.....
that's funny-- tess gets mad when we call her a baby too!
she says, "no, i'm a big girl." then i say, "should we have another baby?" and she says, "NOOO! i'm your baby!"
we certainly miss our grandma and grandpa too...
