To All the Parents

I am thinking of all of the parents of our missionaries today, and how happy it might make you to see a recent photo of your son or daughter with all the other missionaries in our mission, in case your missionary hasn´t sent you one yet.

So, here it is. Our most recent "Mission Photo", taken in December, 2009.

President Benton and I cherish the opportunity to work with each one of these wonderful young adults. Thanks to you all for sharing them with us!

Enjoy the photo!

P.S. If you are able to enlarge this photo, notice all the well worn and dusty soles of the shoes of the missionaries in the front row. Those shoe soles represent lots of "walkin and workin" on the roads of our Mission (often up to 10 miles per day per missionary), as the missionaries go out daily to find souls and teach them the Gospel.

Hermana Benton,

Thank you so much for thinking of the parents. I check your blog often and appreciate your posts. I love this picture! What an awesome responsibility you and President Benton have taking care of all of these great missionaries. Thank you for looking out for my son, Elder Steven Frost these past 2 years. He has loved his mission and he loves you both! We appreciate your amazing example to him.
Thank you - Rhonda Frost

Even though our little Hermana Jensen has been home for 3 months now I am still sitting here crying as I see the new mission photo you posted and re-live in my heart and mind the wonderful experience it was to be the parent of a missionary.
The love, care and direction Stacey received from you both as she served was immense, complete and changed her life.
Thank you for being there for her and all of the others you have charge over. You are so willing and capable and selfless and we are grateful for the examplary way you live your lives.
Take care and know that we will never forget all you did and look forward to getting together for dinner when you return to Utah!
