A Beautiful Day Spent in a Fulfilling Way

We all thoroughly enjoyed watching every session of General Conference last Saturday and Sunday. Many missionaries and members here especially like Elder Holland´s talk and Elder Uchdorf´s talks, both in the General Session, and in the Priesthood Session. Maria, the faithful Church member who works in the Mission Home, has served as Relief Society Pres., Young Women Pres., Primary Pres., and is now serving as a Counselor to her ward Primary Presidency, told me that her favorite General Conference talk was when Pres. Monson told of his appreciation and gratitude to all who have worked faithfully in the Church over the years, and he also reviewed the many was that an "attitude of gratitude" can enrich our lives.

We are all now spiritually uplifted in the Mission, after watching Conference, and ready to move toward our Mission goal of every missionary having at least one baptism on the upcoming special weekend day of 10/10/10. We know we can do it!

Yesterday, which was a "P-Day" in our Mission, Elders Brown and Seedall visited the Mission Home, for purpose of going to a doctor appointment in the Mission Home area.

After the doctor appointment, we all had lunch together, and Elder Seedall played some beautiful hymns for us on the Mission Home piano. One rousing hymn he played was Battle Hymn of the Republic, and then we all gathered around the piano and sang Nearer My God to Thee, as Elder Seedall accompanied us.

The weather was glorious all day yesterday. Sunny, bright, with a definite feeling of Spring in the air (finally, after a number of days of rain). We all enjoyed the day together, and President Benton and I were happy to see that Elder Brown and Elder Seedall were both looking great.

We commemorated the day with the camera propped up a little crooked on the TV with the "auto flash" going, and a mad rush around the TV to arrange ourselves together in front of the camera before the shutter clicked.

Thanks for spending some "P-Day" time with us Elder Brown and Elder Seedall. You are both lots of fun to be with, and you both have lots of great stories to tell.
