Elder Nuttall, Zone Conferences, and a Baptism
Here are some photos of a few of our Mission activities during the past several weeks. The photo at the top is of a baptism that we attended. The Sister on the second row on the left is Dora Gomez. Sister Gomez is an attorney (abogada), who joined the Church 4 years ago. She gives generously of her time and knowledge to help Church members with legal situations. Sister Gomez was thrilled to attend the baptism of her 81 year old father (in the front row, on the left side).
All the rest of the photos are of some of our recent zone conference activities, beginning with the celebrating of birthdays during the transfer by handing out homemade brownies and singing "Happy Birthday".
Remember when I wrote on March 10, 2010 about wanting to interact with my Grandchildren like Elder Nuttall´s Grandma? Well, I took the opportunity to photograph Elder Nuttall (blonde, with striped tie) when he got his "Birthday Brownie", then, with me and with his companion, Elder Angulo (from Chile).
I still hold Grandma Nuttall in esteem as a perfect grandma.
I also had a photo taken of me with Elders Ibañez and Elder Fuentalba (both from Chile), and of some Elders gathered around a piano at a zone conference practicing to sing the song "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" for us. Elder Chatwin was accompanying them on the piano. Between the gorgeous piano renditon by Elder Chatwin, and the other Elders singing, they sounded like angels!
Then, at another zone conference, Elder Decker (from Arizona), and Elder Pagella (from Uruguay) acted out the story for us from the "Book of Mormon" about the characters Jacob and Korihor, with Elder Pagella playing Korihor. I loved the colorful head dress they had made for Korihor. The whole presentation of Elders Decker and Pagella was great!
I added a photo of a zone choir singing for us all at a zone conference, and of us all listening to them sing. Elder LeNeave was accompanying this choir at the piano, and I snapped a photo of him at the piano, with his faithful companion, Elder Bunn, standing nearby. We sure do appreciate the missionaries who are "maestros" at the piano. We have 4 of them in our Mission, and they sureley do enrich our meetings with their beautiful piano playing!

Sister Benton- Boy, was I excited to see the latest pictures! Thanks so much for including our son! I especially appreciate you remembering his birthday- that means so much to me. I'm grateful he has a wonderful Mission Mom who takes such good care of him. Please know that I pray specifically for the Lord to watch over you and Pres. Benton, and I am so thankful for you- you are truly a "tender mercy" in our lives.
By the way, Jordan is so shy he'd probably never tell you, but he's a great percussionist. If you ever need something like that for a skit or play, ask Jordan to play for you sometime! He made Synthesis (BYU's top jazz band) and the Philharmonic as a freshman. He plays vibes, congas, drums, marimba, etc.
Thanks again for mothering my boy. I love you! -Janeal Nuttall
